Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data HMT Engineering SARL processes when you visit hmt.lu or write to us, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The controller is HMT Engineering SARL, 10, rue Jean-Pierre Ries, L-6143 Junglinster, Luxembourg, registered under RCS number B229278. For any privacy question or request, email contact@hmt.lu.

Visiting this website

This website has no user accounts, contact forms, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it sets no cookies.

Like every web server, the server that hosts hmt.lu records technical data for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser's user agent and the referring page. Our hosting provider processes this on our behalf, within the European Union, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept only for as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, and are then deleted by the host.

Fonts from Google

The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google may process this data outside the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

When you email us

If you write to us, we process your name, email address and whatever you include in your message to answer you and, if we work together, to prepare and carry out the project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep correspondence for as long as needed for the enquiry or project, and afterwards only as long as accounting and legal retention periods require. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@hmt.lu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg data protection authority, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), at cnpd.public.lu.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the website or our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
