Structural design, load analysis and site supervision for a 6,000 m² logistics facility — delivered from concept through commissioning as a single engineering package.
A single-source engagement: HMT held both the structural design and the on-site delivery, removing the usual handover gaps.
The client needed a large-span logistics hall delivered on a tight programme, with a single partner responsible for both the structural engineering and coordination on site. Speed mattered, but so did a structure that would carry heavy racking loads and future mezzanine expansion without rework.
We developed a steel-frame concept optimised for span and erection speed, running full load and stability analysis against the intended racking layout. Every connection was detailed for fast on-site assembly, and we supervised erection directly — resolving field questions in hours rather than through slow RFI cycles.
The structure was topped out ahead of schedule and passed inspection first time. Holding design and delivery under one roof removed the handover friction that typically stalls projects of this size, and the frame was specified with spare capacity for the client's planned expansion.
“One accountable team for the structure and the delivery. The coordination alone saved us months.”
